South Wales Central AM Andrew RT Davies visited Amelia Trust Farm last week to support Teddy Jump Day for Operation Christmas Child.
The charity, known for its annual Christmas shoebox appeal, held the event to raise further funds and many children from across the Vale took part.
Each child paid £1 to choose a teddy bear, which then ‘parachuted’ from a considerable height, with the best jumper winning.
The parachutes were made out of old umbrellas by Operation Christmas Child volunteers.
Mr Davies met Amelia Trust Farm volunteer Wendy McManus, who helped organise the event, and both agreed it was a fun way to raise money for an excellent cause.
Mr Davies said: “Teddy Jump Day was a fun way to raise money for Operation Christmas Child and it was clear that everyone had a fantastic time.
“I’d like to thank Operation Christmas Child for the invitation, everyone at Amelia Trust Farm and all the volunteers for helping pull it together.”
