Barry boy Evan Wall, age 17, recently received his East Wales cap from WRL chairman Brian Juliff.
Evan has played rugby union from the age of eight. He started out at Barry RFC and when his year group dispersed he went to Dinas Powys RFC.
The last four seasons he has played for Pontyclun RFC and now currently in Pontyclun youth team.
Evan also become interested in rugby league two seasons ago, went for trials and made the team.
He was presented with his cap at the Village hotel, Coryton, last Saturday.
Evan is an former pupil of Ysgol Gyfun Bro Morgannwg and is now studying his A Levels (Maths/History/Physics) at Coleg y Cymoedd Nantgarw campus, and hoping to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional rugby player.
